چکیده
Abstract Background Nowadays, self-reported assessments (SA) and accelerometer-based (AC) are commonly used methods to measure daily life physical activity (PA) in older adults. SA is simple, cost-effective, can be large epidemiological studies, but its reliability validity have been questioned. Accelerometer measurement has proven valid provide accurate reliable of everyday activities regarding frequency, duration, intensity populations, expensive requires a long-time measurement. Here is, furthermore, lack well-defined accelerometer cut-off points PA among Therefore, there need develop simple method complement/replace self-assessment facilitate the future development In this study, we explore how skeleton avatar technology (SAT) Objectives 1. To association between data assessment adults, 2. SAT standardized functional (balance) test Method The correlation analysis was response variables, deep neural networks were predict variables (AC outcomes). Results results indicate that moderate (r = 0.31) significant (p = 0.029) AC PA. balance assessed with able 3.89% Mean Absolute Error (MAE), 11.07% MAE. Conclusion Overall, these one measured outcomes devices. better than within same population. More research needed ability predicting adults various abilities, developed using 2D recordings, such as mobile phone efficiently.

Accelerometer assessment of physical activity in active, healthy older adults.
Despite widespread use of accelerometers to objectively monitor physical activity among adults and youth, little attention has been given to older populations. The purpose of this study was to define an accelerometer-count cut point for a group of older adults and to then assess the group's physical activity for 7 days. Participants (N = 38, age 69.7 +/- 3.5 yr) completed a laboratory-based cal...

Purpose. To test the effects of a physical-cognitive exercise intervention on gait parameters under dualtask conditions in community-dwelling older adults. Design. A repeated-measures quasi-experimental design, with control and exercise groups, was used. Setting. Study participants consist of a convenience sample recruited from senior citizens’ centers in Monterrey, Mexico. Subjects. A total of...
متن کاملPredictors of Physical Activity in Older Adults in Northwest of Iran
Introduction: There are strong evidences to support the relation between Physical Activity (PA) and improved health in older adults. So this study aimed to determine the predictors of PA among a group of older adults in northwest of Iran. Methods: In 2016, a randomly sample size of 340 older people in urban regions of Maku, West Azerbaijan, Iran, was recruited to complete Physical Activity ...
متن کاملUse of accelerometry to measure physical activity in older adults at risk for mobility disability.
The authors explored using the ActiGraph accelerometer to differentiate activity levels between participants in a physical activity (PA, n = 54) or "successful aging" (SA) program (n = 52). The relationship between a PA questionnaire for older adults (CHAMPS) and accelerometry variables was also determined. Individualized accelerometry-count thresholds (ThreshIND) measured during a 400-m walk w...
متن کاملShould all steps count when using a pedometer as a measure of physical activity in older adults?
PURPOSE The aim of this study was to determine if feedback on step counts from a pedometer encourages participants to increase walking. METHODS Randomly recruited older adults (n = 105) were asked to wear a pedometer for 2 wk. Half the participants were asked to monitor and record daily step counts during week 1 (feedback), then seal the pedometer shut during week 2 (no feedback). Half comple...
